What do you like about working in the investment management business?
I like that the industry is constantly evolving and keeps us learning, not allowing us to be stagnant in our careers. As society evolves, the industry does too, and we must continue to remain flexible and adapt to the new environment to meet the needs of our clients.
What part of your job do you like best and why?
The variety of everything that goes into the smooth operation of a business. Whether that’s analyzing data, managing vendors, participating in brainstorming, my ability to assist my colleagues and help our clients brings me a deep sense of satisfaction in whatever avenue is needed of me.
What personal attributes make you good at your job?
I love to sleuth for solutions as it allows me to be creative and resourceful.
What’s your favorite way to spend free time?
I’m always picking up a new hobby. Whether it’s a new art medium or outside activity, my fascination with the world around me never tires.
What’s your biggest challenge on the job?
Coming into the industry with no prior education or experience, my biggest challenge has been gaining an understanding of all the variations of products and circumstances which arise. The learning curve was steep, but my passion for learning allowed me to quickly flatten the curve.
