What do you like about working in the investment management business?  Working with clients, getting to know them and knowing that we are helping them achieve their financial goals.

What part of your job do you like best and why?  Meeting people and putting a name to a face.  Helping clients with their needs and solving problems.

What personal attributes make you good at your job?  I like to work on projects.  I like to gather information and present it in a way that helps us find conclusions to problems.  I like to see the big picture which helps me to pinpoint solutions for our clients.

What’s your favorite way to spend free time?  I like to hike, bike and travel.  I also enjoy spending time with my husband David and our two college-aged children Sam & Sarah.

What’s your biggest challenge on the job?  Technology in our industry has been a huge challenge.  I want to learn all I can about current options for our clients, and there is a continual learning curve to understand this from the market place and get up to speed to make sure we are offering the best options we can for our customers.

Career highlights:  Trust Officer, Wells Fargo Bank – 16 years; Cascade Investment Advisors – 11 years.

Education & Accreditations:  Attended Portland State University; completed several securities and banking classes through Wells Fargo; received several sales awards while at Harland Financial Solutions. Constant ongoing training for new software products.
